Is Bible Prophecy Really Open for Discussion ?
Want to learn about bible prophecy? The rapture? End time prophecy?
You might want to try your luck at the Rapture Ready Forums or should you?
That is of course if you can get a word posted in the forum that has not gone through the censorship team of the forum’s leaders and administrators with their delete buttons and editing glasses ready to go.
While the folks at Rapture Ready welcome new members, how long you last will be only how long you subscribe to every aspect of their specific view and it’s not up for disussion.
It is in no way an open forum where anything about eschatology can be discussed. They pick and choose what goes on their private board which they maintain is open to the public.
There is little room for discussion on the board and little room for educated debate even if you’re newbie trying to learn about bible prophecy.
While you can try and make a few comments or statements there are of course rules of the forum where you might find your post lasting seconds before it is deleted, locked or your membership is revoked entirely.
Test The Forum Yourself ?
Try mentioning the names of well known prophecy experts like Jack Van Impe, or New York's favorite pastor David Wilkerson or John Hagee, just to name a few. See how long your post will last.
Perhaps you purchased a DVD or a book from a pastor who has a prophecy ministry and want to ask a question or make a comment, your post will very likely be locked.. Have these prophecy experts been shunned by the forum leaders then? How come? Who else has been shunned?
Perhaps you have questions, comments or complaints about other endtime eschatology views like Preterism, Historicism, Idealism, chances are your question will last a few minutes before it is locked.
Good luck discussing theories or asking questions on who might match the scriptural requirements of the Antichrist,The Beast, The number of the beast or different views or interpretations on Ezekiel 38, 39 your days will be numbered you can set your stop watch to it.
Even discussing well known authors who have written books or DVDs on the topics seem to be shunned by the forums admin.
If you mistakenly bring up a topic that has already been discussed long ago, you can once again expect to be locked or deleted.
Imagine walking into a church were you were sent home because you didn’t subscribe to the exact view of the church. They didn't like your questions and they didn't want to hear your comments.
You were silenced when you asked the wrong question or made a comment.
You're at a bible study and were forbidden to make comments, or ask questions even if they were uneducated ones.
One would ask, is discussing prophecy part of the gospel of Jesus Christ or is it to be avoided? Do we avoid certain prophetic chapters of the bible or do we research, learn and discuss "all" of god's word ??
If it is part of the gospel then how would anyone learn about prophecy if their questions, comments and views are censored by the folks at Rapture Ready ??

I have found this 'big brother is watching' to be true. For cases of actually weeding out things from a moderating perspective, this is a necessity. But there are many forums that state in their rules not to be vulgar or profane, yet have, seemingly, no moderation at all.
Conversely, I have been banned for writing against the death penalty; for, apparently, offending Koranic Muslims, if that is even possible; for bringing to light error to moderation.
I have not completed registering at raptureforums, another forum with a seemingly open view to what is implied in their website name, for the very reason that the predetermined judgement of what raptureforums decides in their rules concerning what 'rapture' is, conflicts with, at least, private revelation.
I've found that the search / response described in my profile messages is the most comprehensive way of meeting with writers sharing that commonality of interest.Posted 02-09-2010 at 12:23 PM by Edward Palamar
