Temple Talk
In parshat B’halotecha (Numbers 8), we read about the silver trumpets that G-d instructed Moses to make. Do these trumpets have any significance for us today? And why are some of the Temple vessels to be made specifically of gold, and others, of silver? Like everything else pertaining to the Holy Temple, there are great secrets here, and great lessons to be revealed. Rabbi Richman and Yitzchak Reuven discuss the mystical differences between silver and gold, and in the process, shed a new light on Netanyahu’s role during the infamous Wye River Memorandum.
Temple Talk’s hosts also discuss President Barak H. Obama’s Cairo speech, and raise serious questions regarding the President’s rapprochement with the Muslim world.
Aaron, brother of Moses, lover of peace and peacemaker, is instructed to kindle the light of the Temple menorah…and the Torah praises him for doing exactly what he was told. Mysteriously, the great Rashi writes that Aaron deserves praise for not deviating from G-d’s instructions. What’s this conundrum all about? Join us for a new insight into this ancient question.

Weekly Torah Portion with Rabbi Chaim Richman: Parashat Shlach (Numbers 13:1-15:41)
Twelve spies are sent to Israel to gather intelligence and report back to Moshe and the people. Knowing full well that the children of Israel would inherit the land of Israel due to the merit of the forefathers Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’akov, who received G-d’s promise, Calev ben Yefuneh made a detour to Hevron and the cave of the Machpelah, in order to pray and spiritually unite with the souls of the righteous patriarchs:
